Zoroaster

Zoroaster (628 BCE to 551), also known as Zarathustra, lived in the eastern part of the Iranian Plateau. He is credited with the authorship of the Yasna Haptanghaiti as well as the Gathas, hymns which are at the liturgical core of Zoroastrian faith. His eschatology entered the Judeo-Christian tradition through the Babylonian Captivity, and was carried to India by Alexander of Macedonia.
