Papias of Hierapolis

Papias was a bishop of the early Church who wrote in the early 2nd Century AD. Eusebius of Caesarea calls him “Bishop of Hierapolis” (modern Pamukkale, Turkey), which is 22 km from Laodicea and near Colossae.
